First Aid In Rugby Courses
First Aid in Rugby Courses (FAIR) give you the opportunity to gain rugby specific first aid skills.
Anyone in the rugby community interested in learning first aid is welcome to complete the course. Delivered by experienced practitioners with rugby expertise, a World Rugby recognised FAIR qualification will give you the skills to immediately assist an injured player.
Our long-term goal is to have a qualified FAIR first-aider at every school or club rugby game in New Zealand.
LOOKING AFTER OUR PLAYERS IN OUR GAME – AT ALL LEVELS IS TOP PRIORITY. THE FAIR COURSE CAN PROVIDE OUR COMMUNITY WITH THE SKILLS TO BE A VITAL PART OF THAT CARE.
- Dr Stephen Kara, Blues Team Doctor
The course is made up of an online pre-course theory component and a hands-on practical session taken by our specialist educators. The hands-on course is delivered in an eight hour session and there is approximately eight hours of work required in the pre-course component. This pre-course work is essential so you can get maximum benefit from the hands-on practical session.
On completion of the course to the required standard, you will receive a FAIR qualification certificate and a FAIR Kit bag with basic equipment used on the course, sponsored by USL Medical.
Course cost: $50 (includes catering and a FAIR kit bag).
